Never let a vendor pick up equipment without providing you with some type of form that documents the transfer. Make, model, serial number, and date are very important! If anyone ever hedges about having such a form, make one up yourself - even if you have to write it on the back of a scratch piece of paper! Make sure the transfer paper is signed and dated by the vendor.
