Sick patrons and staff

Sick employees and patrons can be asked to leave the Library if their illness could be considered to cause an unsafe environment by a "reasonable person." 

Library policy provides specific restrictions on employees reporting to work while sick.

In either event, managers should:

1. attempt to consult with the library director for guidance on addressing the situation.

2. e-mail the director in order to document the details of the event.
